GRADUATE FORENSIC ACCOUNTANT ANALYST
We are seeking a Forensic Accountant Analyst to join our team which offers one on one supervision with our highly experienced Principal as well as significant learning and professional development opportunities on a daily basis.
- Casual position;
- Ideally 10-15 hours per week with the potential for full-time employment; and
- Casual hourly rate, to be negotiated.
We are a small Chartered Accounting firm that specialises only in forensic accounting. That is, we do not undertake any business services or taxation work. Our Principal, Ian Otto has over 20 years’ experience in undertaking expert reports and providing witness testimony both in Australia and overseas and is an Accredited Business Valuation Specialist with Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand. The firm provides generous postgraduate support.
About You:
This role requires a unique set of skills. To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- A strong interest in the field of Forensic Accounting;
- Ability to communicate with clients, Accountants and Solicitors;
- Inspection, analysis and investigation of businesses and entities for valuation;
- Analysis and calculation of economic loss;
- Assist with data entry, calculations and report writing;
- Preparation of Expert reports;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Inquisitive mind and ability to think critically;
- Analytical and strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work autonomously, proactively and as part of a team;
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure;
- Word and Excel skills. Proficient excel knowledge in formulating Graphs and Tables;
- Knowledge of accounting software such as MYOB, QuickBooks and Xero would be beneficial;
- Desire to learn and grow your expertise;
Above average level of written communication for report writing. Report writing is a large component of the work and as such is key to making a successful transition into Forensic Accounting. Solicitors, Barristers and Judges will review many of the reports produced hence, the importance to be an articulate communicator and have strong attention to detail.
